Two Parents, Two Legacies, Two Epitaphs

Here is the entire Biblical testimony, direct and indirect, about one parent:

Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer... (Acts 16:1a)

I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well (2 Timothy 1:5)

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:14-15)

Here is the entire Biblical testimony, direct and indirect, about the other parent:

...but his father was a Greek. (Acts 16:1b)

Discussion, conclusions, thoughts?

Despite having an unbelieving father, Timothy clutched the truth he was taught from his mother and grandmother and became a mighty disciple. It must have been difficult having such a father but God uses even the smallest amount the Light we do have to accomplish His purpose.
